Expertise in youth development and community arts program design
Denise Montgomery is a thought leader on effective program practices in creative youth development (CYD). She has advised organizations from large, national youth development movements to museums to community arts organizations on CYD program development.
Denise has also been involved in developing a number of successful programs from large-scale, community-wide initiatives to tailored professional development training sessions to multidisciplinary audience development initiatives.
She co-founded the Five Points Jazz Festival in Denver, planning and developing the festival alongside community partners, and initiated the Biennial of the Americas. Other programs include CBCA Night At…; Doors Open Denver; Latino Rhythms; Leadership Arts; One Book, One Denver; and TNT - Thursday Night Thing.
